TattooLabMAKE ROOM FOR THE IDEA

THE PLANNING STUDIO

Plan a forearm tattoo that fits your movement

Compare inner and outer forearm placement, orientation and size with a photo preview before your artist consultation.

01

Start with two relaxed photos

Photograph your forearm with the palm facing up, then facing down. Keep the camera roughly square to the skin and include your wrist and elbow. A flat photo can help compare composition, but cannot show how the design wraps around your arm.

02

Compare the direction

Try the design facing you and facing outward. Turn the artwork rather than rotating your body photo so the comparison uses the same reference. Leave room around wrist and elbow creases and ask your artist how the layout will move.

03

Take a measured reference

Measure the available space with a flexible tape in centimeters. A photo has no reliable physical scale by itself. Bring your measurement and two saved previews to your appointment; your artist will check the stencil on skin.
